CIEL is dedicated to innovative research projects, including the discovery and the development of products, which it plans to produce and market. The Centre’s staff consists of bio-medical scientists, clinicians, biostatisticians, database managers, software developers, technicians, health informaticians, health economists, project managers and administrative staff who are dedicated to bio-medical research as well as to the design, conduct, analysis and interpretation of clinical trials and other well conducted studies.

Our work is collaborative involving academics, Hospitals staff and commercial organisations, locally, nationally, across Africa and internationally.  Our aim is to conduct research that has the potential to improve the treatment of patients and change the practice of medicine.
